The 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup has been boosted by endorsement given to it by Chief Oberiri Ekpiwhre Ibori, saying that the competition will open up all nooks and crannies to witness genuine grassroot football development.
Chief Ibori, in a meeting with some representatives of some participating clubs, said the initiative to float the competition across all 25 local government areas of the state is a worthy and laudable venture.
He thanked Bet9ja agents for deeming fit to assist in reviving the game at a time there is urgent need to check the dwindling fortunes of the sport in the oil rich state.
“This is a worthy and laudable venture,” Chief Ibori said. “I urge you all to take advantage of this opportunity.”
“I must also commend my fellow Bet9ja agent for putting this together. It’s coming at the right time for the game in Delta.”
Chief Ibori pledged to attend and witness the draws ceremony and workshop for coaches of teams participating in the Royal Cup.
The draws for the 2019 Bet9ja Royal Cup will hold this Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at the exotic Wellington Hotels in Effurun, Delta State.
